Diagram 6.1  2013 ISL Team's Table Movements

Diagram 6.1  shows movements on the table of each 2013 ISL participants. Although each team played 34 times throughout the season, on Diagram 6.1 there are 42 fixtures instead of 34. This is caused by the uniqueness on the ISL scheduling system, which has been implemented by the league operator throughout the years.
Due to Indonesian geographical stretch, the league operator uses a paired-tour system, which means that for away matches far from home, a team will play a pair of match against teams within travel distance and path. This is done exclusively to reduce team's transportation expenditure. For instance, Sriwijaya FC play 2 matches against teams from Papua (e.g. Persipura and Persiram) in 1 trip, or Persib travel to East Kalimantan to play against teams from that region (e.g. Persiba and Mitra Kukar) in 1 trip.
A team could have a 10+ days without playing after having 5 matches in 2 weeks, making said team absent on some fixtures. Thus, there are 8 extra fixtures to cover those leaped fixtures.
