Unsurprisingly, penalties for the visiting team are fewer than those for the home team. 66 penalties (38 in West, 28 in East) were being awarded to the host, while the visitors only got 29 (15 in West, 14 in East).

Among the 76 successfully-converted penalties, 19 of them had high decisiveness level towards the result of each matches. Whether to obtain 3 points or to secure a draw. Simply put, there were 22 penalties being awarded in the 3rd 15-minute interval of the second half (from the 76th minute up to 90th++ minute). 18 of them were converted into goals, and 10 of them changed the end-result of each matches. The best example would be Nasser Al Sebai's spot kick for Putra Samarinda against PSM.
Several notes from the record:

Sometimes, penalty award is based on a controversial decision by the referee. This season, cases on the subject have also occurred on several occasions. The most memorable ones could be the one given to Persipura against Persiba (BPN) by referee Ahmad Suparman. Following many questionable decisions prior to, the West Javanese pointed to Persiba’s penalty spot on the 90th minute over a controversial reason. Stating “hand ball” while replay showed no hands touched no ball. A call that lately cost him his refereeing career.
